NYOI Strings Play in Limerick
The NYOI Camerata Strings are to perform John Kinsella's Nocturne at a lunchtime concert in Limerick on 23rd July in St Mary's Cathedral. The event forms part of the Shannon International Music Festival, in association with the Belltable Arts Centre and the Irish Chamber Orchestra. The NYOI Camerata Strings are directed by Michael d'Arcy and led by Julia O'Riordan. The programme will also include Mozart's Adagio and Fugue for Strings, Stravinsky's Concerto in D for Strings and Arthur Duff's popular Irish Suite. The concert will be repeated in Quadlingburg, Germany, as part of the NYOI's summer tour, when Michael d'Arcy will perform Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto.
