Mac-Beth 7

Pan Pan theatre company has commissioned composer Andrew Synnott to create original music for its production, Mac-Beth 7, directed by Gavin Quinn. This innovative production has, the company says, three elements that are intertwined: opera, live contemporary performance and Shakespeare, and Synnott’s music is an integral part of the performance. Aiming ‘to create a successful marriage between theatre and music normally contained in the environment of opera’, the music will consist of arias with underscoring for percussion, piano, bassoon, clarinet, trumpet, violin and voices.

Mac-Beth 7 takes place at Project arts centre, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, from 15 – 24 April at 8.00pm. Booking: 01-881 9613/14. Tickets: Euro symbol18.00; concessions: Euro symbol12.00. Preview 14 April, Euro symbol10.00.

Pan Pan has a ‘two for the price of one’ offer as well as special rates for groups. Details from Kathy Purcell, email katpurcell@hotmail.com
