Corcoran Radio Commission

Frank Corcoran
Frank Corcoran

Frank Corcoran has been commissioned by Deutschland Radio Berlin to compose an electro-acoustic work with voices. How to translate her scream will be premiered in a broadcast by the radio station on 2 July 2004. Another new work, Quasi Rondo e Scherzo for solo piano, will receive its first German performance by Andreas Skouras in the Hamburg Musikhochschule in June.

Corcoran has also been appointed an international jury-member for the 2005 World Music-Days in Zagreb, Croatia and for the Concorso Sinfonico Città di Trieste 2004. He is currently planning a CD recording with ArtVision featuring some of his larger-scale chamber works, and the Cantus Ensemble of Zagreb, which premiered the work last year, is releasing his Quasi un Concerto on their own label later this year.
