Vogler Spring Festival

The Vogler Spring Festival will take place over four days during the May bank holiday weekend (2-5 May, 2003) in the beautiful setting of St Columba's Parish Church, Drumcliffe, Co. Sligo. The nine concerts in this year's festival offer a broad range of fare from late Beethoven and Schumann to Debussy, Franck, Schoenberg and Gubaidulina. They also include performances of Ian Wilson's string quartet ...wander darkling played by the Vogler Quartet and Spilliaert's Beach for violin and piano performed by Priya Mitchell and Robert Kulek.

Other performers appearing with the Vogler Quartet (County Sligo's artists-in-residence), will be Barry Douglas, Lars Anders Tomter, Ronald van Spaendonck, Daniel-Müller Schott, Alice Coote, Priya Mitchell, Robert Kulek, and Dermot Dunne. There will also be music master classes in association with Sligo Academy of Music.
