Sonorities 2003

The annual Sonorities festival of contemporary music based at Queen's University, Belfast, will run this year from Tuesday 29 April until Monday 5 May under the title 'You hit him he cry out: Fresh new music from Australasia'. Irish composers are represented with the premiere of a new work by Elaine Agnew which will feature in a BBC Invitation Concert by the Ulster Orchestra conducted by David Porcelijn on May 2nd. Featured ensemble Lontano will perform Deirdre Gribbin's How to make the water sound and Ian Wilson's Timelessly this on 4 May. There are also a number of world, British and Irish premieres.
