RTÉ Lyric FM and the Contemporary Music Centre are happy to announce their joint participation in the International Rostrum of Composers 2003. The Rostrum, a long-established annual event run by the International Music Council, seeks to make known in all countries through the intermediary of broadcasting organisations, outstanding works by contemporary composers.
The pieces selected for the Irish submission to this year's Rostrum are Deirdre Gribbin's Empire States (RTÉ commission) and Rob Canning's the garden of forking paths (RTÉ commission). If successful, the works will receive multiple broadcasts on international radio stations. |
