NSOI Tours in USA

Ian Wilson Ian Wilson
RTÉ, Ireland's national radio and TV broadcaster, has announced the National Symphony Orchestra's US debut with a ten-city east coast tour during April 2003. The tour is supported by the Cultural Relations Committee of the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism and features principal conductor Gerhard Markson and soloist John O'Conor, piano. The orchestra performs at the invitation of presenters in venues along the east coast. The tour programme features the US premieres of Ian Wilson's Rise and Jane O'Leary's From Sea-grey Shores, as well as works by Beethoven, Mussorgsky, Wagner, Brahms and Stravinsky.
