A new CD of James Wilson’s Songs and Chamber Music has been launched by the British Ambassador to Ireland, Mr Stewart Eldon, at a reception in the Contemporary Music Centre. Congratulating the composer on its release, Mr Eldon commented on his achievements over many years not just in composition, but in teaching and in the cultural life of Ireland. He welcomed the appearance of the CD, which features the soprano Jane Manning and the contemporary ensemble, Concorde. He also expressed his support for the work of the Contemporary Music Centre and his pleasure at the opportunity to meet the music and arts community. The launch took place on 3 December 2003.
