Fergus Johnston will be travelling to Varna, Bulgaria, at the end of July as a guest of the Varnensko Liato Music Festival. There he will take part in a concert of his music to be performed by Josif Radionov (violin) and Zornitsa Damianova (piano). The programme, consisting of selections of Johnston's music for piano solo and violin solo, will include his 2002 National Concert Hall commission, Méadú, for violin, piano and electronics, along with some new pieces for violin and piano based on Bulgarian folk music.
