The Contemporary Music Centre has received the award for ‘Best Cultural Centre’ in the inaugural Temple Bar Green and Clean Competition 2003.

Organised by Temple Bar’s neighbourhood TASCQ group (Traders in the Area Supporting the Cultural Quarter) in association with Dublin City Council and sponsored by Kärcher Ireland Ltd, the aim of the competition is to encourage all businesses and cultural organizations in the Temple Bar area of Dublin city centre to become more aware of, and responsible for, their immediate environment. The competition also encourages traders and cultural centres to contribute in a positive way to the appearance of their locality, particularly their own shop or premises, by keeping it and its surrounds clean, litter free and well presented.
