Cullivan in Concert

Composer Tom Cullivan's Sonata for Viola and Piano (1999) will receive its Galway premiere at a concert in Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe on Friday, 14 November at 8.00pm. It will be performed by Constantin Zanidache (to whom it is is dedicated) accompanied by Pádhraic Ó Cuinneagáin. The programme also includes Cullivan’s Sonata for Bassoon and Piano (2002) in which the soloist will be Michael Dooley (its dedicatee) accompanied by Elena Gekker.

The composer himself will play a selection of his Irish Piano Classics as well as giving the Galway premiere of his Fifth Piano Sonata (2001) and the world premiere of his Sixth Piano Sonata completed in August 2003.
