Crash Ensemble Tour

Donnacha Dennehy
Donnacha Dennehy

The Crash contemporary music ensemble tours some of its favourite works around Ireland in September and early October. Works include Glamour Sleeper by the group’s artistic director, Donnacha Dennehy, and Deirdre McKay’s Ice Etchings, as well as David Lang’s Cheating, Lying Stealing and Magnus Lindberg’s Ur. Alongside these ensemble works are four solo pieces: Ik-Ook by Philip Glass (electronic keyboard) and Sole Injection by Zack Browning (amplified violin), together with the monumentally-distorted Industry of Michael Gordon (cello) and the Irish premiere of a junk metal celebratory tour-de-force, Paddy, for solo percussion by Donnacha Dennehy.

Performances take place in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Belfast, Cork, Galway and Sligo (for details see Calendar).
