Applying for a Commission: a Practical Workshop

Continuing its Autumn events programme, on 21 October CMC presents a practical workshop session on 'Applying for a Commission'. Intended for promoters, performers, venues, composers or anyone who is thinking of applying to the Arts Council's Commissions scheme, this one-and-a-half hour workshop will use case studies to examine some of the do's and don'ts of formulating your project clearly and putting together a good application. Please note that this is a 'nuts and bolts' session, not a discussion of Arts Council funding policies.

The workshop will be given by Eve O'Kelly, CMC director, and Jane O'Leary, composer and director of Concorde, both of whom have extensive experience of the music commissioning process. Paul Johnson, Artists' Services Manager of the Arts Council, will also attend.

The event takes place in the CMC library from 6.00-7.30pm. Admission free, booking essential. Please contact Karen Hennessy, CMC Promotion Manager, email khennessy@cmc.ie or telephone (01) 673 1922.
