UK percussion quartet 4-MALITY presents the premiere of a specially-commissioned work, Odd Ball, by Brian Irvine on their forthcoming Music Network tour of Ireland. The group employs a vast array of drums, marimbas, vibraphones, cymbals, gongs, triangles, shakers, claves, chimes, and scrapers and performers Jan Bradley, Adrian Spillett, Geir Rafnsson and Stephen Whibley will visit eight venues around Ireland from 6 - 14 November 2003. A visual spectacle matched by the exuberance and virtuosity of the four players, the programme also includes compositions by members of the group and newly commissioned works reflecting influences from all corners of the globe including Latin, African and Japanese drumming.
