Irish Chamber Orchestra

The Irish Chamber Orchestra has commissioned five Irish composers to collaborate on a work for the opening night of the Killaloe Music Festival 2002. Elaine Agnew, Raymond Deane, Fergus Johnston, Jennifer Walshe and Ian Wilson have been invited to take the Yeats poem, The Song of Wandering Aengus, as their inspiration for a continuous five-movement work to be premiered by the ICO in St Flannan's Cathedral, Killaloe, on 17 July.
