Hugh Lane Gallery

The well-regarded and well-attended Sundays at Noon concerts in Dublin's Hugh Lane Gallery continue into May and June and feature a number of Irish composers. On 12 May, Concorde will play newly-commissioned pieces by Elaine Agnew and Ciaran Farrell for flute, violin, clarinet, cello and percussion. The concert will also feature Elaine Agnew's Mushrooming for soprano, violin, cello and piano, as well as works by Consuelo Diaz and Isabel Mundry.

The concert on 2 June is a composer portrait of John Gibson, presented in co-operation with the Association of Irish Composers to mark his fiftieth birthday. It features the Crawford Piano Trio and violist Constantin Zanidace. On 9 June the young Cork-based Callino Quartet will premiere Ian Wilson's String Quartet No. 6 together with works by Kurtág. The series breaks for the summer during July and August.
