The Contemporary Music Centre is very pleased to continue its sponsorship of prizes for the performance of new Irish music. The Contemporary Irish Music Cup will be awarded again at Dublin's Feis Ceoil 2003 for the best performances of works written since 1950, together with cash prizes of 300 and 150. Scores and repertoire information are available from the Centre and the closing date for entries is 15 December 2002.

The Feis Ceoil also runs a number of composers' competitions: the IMRO Award, which offers a prize of 650 for an original composition, and the competitions for Pieces for Children; An Original Song; the Milligan Fox Medal and the Dr Annie Patterson Medal. Closing date for all composers competitions is 3 February 2003.
