Apeldoorn Prize for Hamilton

Andrew Hamilton

Congratulations to Andrew Hamilton (b. 1977) on winning the prestigious 2002 award at the Eighth International Young Composers Meeting in Apeldoorn. The course, which is funded by the Dutch Gaudeamus Foundation, was led and judged by composers Louis Andreissen, Martin Paddjin, Hannah Kulenty and Andrew Toovey. Hamilton will be commissioned to write a work for the Dutch-based Orkest de Ereprijs for performance at next year's course.
