Jerome de Bromhead was born in Waterford and studied with A. J. Potter, James Wilson, Seóirse Bodley and Franco Donatoni. His output includes orchestral, choral and chamber music and he has had works performed and broadcast in many countries around the world, among them his harpsichord piece Flux, which was performed at the ISCM World Music Days in Germany in 1987 and is now published by Tonos Verlag of Darmstadt. He has been a senior music producer in Irish Radio (RTE) and is a member of Aosdána, Ireland’s state-sponsored academy of creative artists. (biography © Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland) |
