Culture Night 2009 takes place in cities across Ireland on 25 September 2009. The event will offer people of all ages the chance to experience culture in various and unusual forms through a range of different events.

The initiative, now in its fourth year, is co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism in partnership with the regional arts offices and local authorities.

In Dublin a record 124 cultural venues will open their doors on the night. The Contemporary Music Centre presents an interactive iPhone/iPod Touch installation and outdoor courtyard sound installation from young Irish composers Brian Bridges, Brian Solon and Jonathan Nangle, specially created for Culture Night. Both sound installations will run from 6:00 pm to midnight on 25 September 2009, with the outdoor courtyard installation continuing from 28 September to 2 October 2009 during 12:00-4:00 pm.

Jonathan Nangle, Brian Bridges and Brian Solon were interviewed in the Joy Gallery, Dublin by Niamh Heery on 17 August 2009.
