To coincide with the celebration of Seóirse Bodley’s 75th birthday and the publication of Seóirse Bodley's Song Cycles to the Poetry of Micheal O'Siadhail by Carysfort Press, soprano Sylvia O’Brien joined the composer in a performance of his songs on 20 April 2008.

The concert, which took place at the Hugh Lane Gallery Dublin as part of the Sundays @ Noon concert series, included performances of Bodley's The Earlsfort Suite (in a new arrangement for piano and voice), The Naked Flame, and the premiere of a new work, Squall, which was specially written for poet Micheal O'Siadhail's 60th birthday in 2007.

The text for each of the works performed during the concert was written by the internationally renowned Irish poet Micheal O'Siadhail, whom Seóirse Bodley has collaborated with on several occasions over the past number of years.
